Courage, Heartbreak and Prairie Gardens

It takes a leap of faith to plant an orchard on the Canadian Prairie. In the second in a series of pop-up books called Garden Journal  Carolyn Qualle pays tribute to her pioneer family. Through their hard work and unfailing optimism they managed to wrestle bounty from an often hostile landscape.This Pop-up book is serigraph printed, hand written and collaged. Size 8”x8”x1”.
